Trump has already begun trying to distance himself from Walker, tweeting Wednesday morning that he "didn't know him well" and that he "didn't really campaign for him." It's a far cry from earlier this year when Trump was calling Walker a "great friend" and urging Georgians to vote for him.
This race will have major implications for both the state of Georgia and the country as a whole. The winner of this election will help determine which party controls the Senate, as well as whether or not President Biden will be able to pass his legislative agenda. This race could help determine the balance of power in Washington for years to come.
It's anyone's guess who will ultimately prevail in this showdown, but one thing is for sure: this race is going to be intense! Be sure to stay tuned for more updates as we head into the December 6, 2022, showdown.
