
As the below article will detail it appears that under previous administrations the Union County Prosecutors Office engaged in behavior that prevented or at least discouraged the reporting of crimes or unethicail actions by elected or appointed officials in Union County, New Jersey. Whether or not this continues is still up for debate. In the next few weeks, we will detail stories from citizens that would say political fixing is still the message. Or at the very least granting special privileges to elected officials over the citizens, they swear to protect and serve.
Acting Union County Prosecutor Michael Monahan replaced with first assistant attorney general

UNION COUNTY - The county's top cop was replaced Friday in the wake of an internal affairs investigation into the Elizabeth police director, Attorney General Gurbir Grewal announced.
First Assistant Attorney General Jennifer Davenport has taken over for Michael A. Monahan, who served as acting Union County Prosecutor since January 2018, Grewal said in a news release.
The move comes on the heels of a prosecutor's office investigation’s findings that the Elizabeth Police Director James Cosgrove used derogatory terms to describe his staff. Grewal called for Cosgrove to immediately resign from his position in the release.
